Still figuring out blogging

So as you can tell, I haven't been doing much blogging. I am still figuring this stuff out!

Today is election day and I am glad to see all the campaigning come to an end! I hope the country can just come together once this is all decided. I know some people will be disappointed, no matter who wins. I think we all need to get through this election stuff and get on with getting the economy running again and everyone out of this financial mess.

Our family is doing pretty well. Leigh is healthy, but has to have surgery on his feet on the 19th (hammer toe repairs). Meredith is attending classes. Colin is in high school. We hear from Quentin at least once (more usually twice or three times) a week. I am working at the elementary school. Preston and Amy are doing well, anticipating the arrival of their first child (our first grandbaby!) any day now -- due on the 12th!

Halloween was fairly uneventful for our family as we don't really have any "trick-or-treaters" getting dressed up any more. Meredith sat out front and handed out candy and play-doh for us and the rest of us hardly noticed it was Halloween except for the extra candy by the front door.

So, you see, we are pretty normal (I hope) and just living our lives.
